I bought one of these from Wal-Mart last year so I was familiar with the product. Charger / battery care device for convertible. I saw this at Revain for a better price than I paid at Wal-Mart so nothing to worry about. Happiness is an on/off switch of the warm green glow emanating from the Schumacher battery. Charger/companion device while caring for my battery.

I use this on my tractor in the winter to keep it charged when clearing snow. You can connect a short adapter cable to the battery with ring terminals and secure the cable end with a cap under the hood. Then, when snow is forecast, I just plug in the charger and connect the charging cable to the adapter cable and when I need the tractor, it starts even in the freezing temperatures. For this application it's much easier and quicker than messing around with battery clips or my big charger. I wish

I ordered another charger for my new 8500w generator, came back to the site and found that it was unplugged every time had to be needed well i can't remember throwing out the trash half the time in 70 years, i saw this one that doesn't charge. I'm writing this review with hindsight. I'm either SUPER happy with these things! Or they just suck 2 stars or below - good product, not expensive. This relates to the Schumacher brand, I have two other products that I have had for 35 years. and they still work great! I especially like the charging cables as I can switch between clips and grommets to permanently attach them to my gear. This is a good basic charger for small batteries. It was perfect for my bike, a charger that turns off when the battery is full and really good at not turning on at the slightest sign of a voltage drop which is what you need for battery maintenance. It's fully automatic, detects 6 and 12 volts, has only three indicators (bad polarity, charging, fully charged) and can turn off if you connect the wires in the opposite direction.
