This little device is very convenient for my HTPC. I bought the first version shortly after it came out and used it for over a year until the battery died and held a charge. I was very happy with the first model, but it had some oddities. For example, the mouse pad didn't work very well and the keyboard was generally unresponsive. It always required line of sight to work. However, it worked and was much more comfortable than a full keyboard and mouse. This new model is significantly lighter, the keyboard is much more responsive and the touchpad could also be improved. I've had it for a few weeks now and I have no problems. I hope they made a big improvement over the first model. It feels a little cheap just because it's so light, but when it holds up well, it's just a convenience to be light. I didn't test the full range but I walked 12 feet across the room and there was a couch between the remote and the computer and it worked fine so the wireless connection was greatly improved.
