I'm a gamer with quite a few things that are always plugged into an outlet. I'm always loading stuff too. I originally bought it to make it easier to switch devices, e.g. B. Packing my laptop for travel or plugging in my work laptop when I'm working from home. It was nice to have on my desk for that reason, but I also found that it helped organize my cables a bit better. I can use the clip on the bottom as a cable management tray and now that I'm back in the office I can mainly use it for things on my desk like monitors so I can free up other strips for my desktops and other devices. The USB charging ports are great for charging my wireless headset as well as my wireless controller. I might end up buying another one for other devices I have on my desk.
