This is a great starter set not only for beginning cooks but also for those who are moving for the first time or just need a basic baking set. You get almost everything you need to do almost anything you want. I'm especially glad I have an icing gun because making wax paper piping bags is a pain and a half. , the measurement is simply printed; it is not encapsulated in plastic. This is a problem because when I've had similar devices in the past, the markers would wear off after just a few uses. Now it can still be pretty obvious which size is which, even without those markings, but still. Otherwise this is a very good set!
