Type of review

This bee house for native bees is exactly what I was looking for. It is very well made, solid construction. The pink color looks great in my garden. I think bees are attracted to the color. I have a native oak tree in my backyard, as well as some California native bushes and grasses. I want to attract wildlife to my garden, and this bee house will attract bees. Native bees will help to pollinate my fruit trees and vegetable garden, too. So I am very happy with this purchase and I plan to buy…

Pros
  • 🐝 INCREASE GARDEN YIELD WITH A NATURAL WAY TO IMPROVE POLLINATION: Native bees are effective pollinators and a gardeners best friend . Healthy beneficial mason bees visit 1000 plants a day, pollinating more effectively than honey bees ; if you've ever thought about buying a beekeeping starter kit , attracting mason bees is a simpler way to get started than investing in beehives and honey bees supplies. You'll enjoy more vegetables + flowers while helping the bees with these pollinator houses.
Cons
  • The bamboo tubes may get clogged with debris or dirt, making it difficult for the bees to use the nests

Looks great at first

When this first arrived we were excited to see a couple bees move right in. However we’ve had a lot of rain lately and this bee house is starting to show it and not holding up well. Plus I don’t think the bees are still there maybe because it’s soggy.

Pros
  • 🐝 ATTRACT AND PROTECT MORE NATIVE BEES: Not a typical beehive, this mason bee house insect home is designed specifically for 140 species, including mason bees and orchard bees The mason bee hotel nester has been designed with bee nesting tubes of varying diameters, from large to small, which attract different species of bees. The approximately 75 tubes in the bee hut are all over 4 inches long, allowing plenty of depth for each pollinator to lay their eggs and for the larvae to mature.
Cons
  • The bee house may be difficult to clean or sanitize, potentially spreading diseases to the bees

Quality has gone way down hill

I purchased a Cestari Bee House last year and I was satisfied with it so I bought another one this year. Unfortunately the quality has gone way down hill. This time there are large gaps between the tubes, some of the tubes are loose, and most of the tubes are way too big in diameter for mason bees. A big disappointment. I am returning it and buying another brand.

Pros
  • Birthdays gift for my daughter. She seemed pleased. I have to wait until some bees move into it.
Cons
  • It's cute but the bees won't go near it.

Great value and sturdy

This such a fun item. I loved how it was pink and not plain. The bees like it and it’s great to see.Awesome price Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • 🐝 SAFE NATIVE BEE HABITAT: More than a garden decoration, this wild bee house helps increase the population of beneficial bees. Smooth tubes don't injure wings keeping bees safe, overlapping roof shelters nests from wind + water damage ; carpenter bees also like these bee boxes, so a few well placed bee houses could lure them away from drilling holes in your home. Set your mason bee hive about 4 ft off the ground, on a post, tree, fence, or wall, in a sheltered area near your garden.
Cons
  • The bee house may be a breeding ground for harmful pests such as mites or beetles

mason bee house arrived cracked

Mason bee house arrived with a cracked roof and will not hold up. Would like it replaced but should not have to go to the trouble of returning it.

Pros
  • full of mason bee nests and has been so much fun. They seem to love this one
Cons
  • The bee house may not be compatible with other outdoor decorations or furniture

Cute but wrong - my new review

So this is cute and well made, but if you do any research on what makes for A HEALTHY Mason bee house, this won't do it. Bamboo, holds moisture. Bad. Can't remove bamboo to store or clean. Bad. I wish I would have done research before buying, not to knock seller, but all the research supports that this type of house fosters the development of pest and diseases, which is a bummer.

Pros
  • The FSC Certified wood mason bee house is made from sustainable wood material
Cons
  • Other wildlife such as squirrels or birds may try to use the bee house, potentially damaging it or harming the bees

Cute Bee House in my review

I got several as gifts and the recipients were really pleased. They have not put them up yet but they are excited about them.

Pros
  • The bee houses have no motorized mechanizations, making them a suitable option for apartment balconies and other noise-restricted areas
Cons
  • The bee house may require frequent monitoring to ensure that it remains effective over time

Tubes are too large for mason bees!

I like the color and style, it's built well. But, the tubes are very very very large. The mason bees flew around it, but used the 2 other bee houses I have instead. So far, no bees have used this one. I will probably change the tubes for smaller ones. I would not buy this again.

Pros
  • Healthy Pollinators
Cons
  • The bee house may not be effective for all types of plant species, limiting its overall impact on pollination

Don’t buy for mason bees.

The picture on the left is what I bought and am reviewing. The picture on the right is another mason bee home that works well…for comparison only. This is not a mason bee home. The tubes are super big. It’s been hanging outside since March and nothing has nested in it. Totally different than picture Revain posts.

Pros
  • Perfect for those with allergies: Mason bees are hypoallergenic
Cons
  • The bamboo tubes may be incompatible with certain types of bees or pollinators, potentially limiting their usefulness

Win win more bees in our garden

This was so cute that I wanted to get it. My daughter has worked hard on her garden and was hoping for more bees. With this we now have tons swarming around her garden and pollinating all her plants. Plus I love the way it looks. Win win in my book.

Pros
  • Effective pollination
Cons
  • The bee house may require regular disinfection to prevent the spread of diseases or other harmful agents

Sturdy, cute, and well made!

This is a great bee house! We put it up a couple days ago so no bees yet but it’s study, cute, and well made! We got the grey one.

Pros
  • Great bee house!! It made an awesome gift!
Cons
  • The bee house may not withstand heavy winds or rainstorms

Bee Haven! on my review.

My bees are loving their safe space! This decorative and effective bee dwelling makes a great addition to my back yard, and the bees are nesting in and making it their home. Highly recommend!

Pros
  • Very good. I liked it do much I bought one for both of my grand daughters. I highly recommend.
Cons
  • The bee house may be too expensive for some buyers

Durable- But Not the Bee's Favorite

I purchased this to add to my collection of three other bee houses. This one is by far the most durable of all of them. However, the bees seem to like it the least: the bamboo tubes are a big larger than the other houses, and they don't seem to utilize this as much. It is cute and good as a gift for a beginner, but I personally wouldn't purchase this again.

Pros
  • Very sturdy and well constructed bee house
Cons
  • The bee house may attract unwanted insects such as wasps

Helping the world on my review.

You are helping save the bees (and the planet) when you have a Mason bee house. Bees are needed to pollinate flowering fruits, nuts, and berry plants. Bringing mason bees into your garden is a great way to help the ecosystem. The bee house gives them a home that will last. The bee house is sturdy and built with natural wood.

Pros
  • 🐝 ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY: These bee hotels are hand crafted from FSC certified wood, and each tube in the mason bees house is cut from long-lasting sustainable bamboo to provide a hanging bee pollinator house that is not only bee friendly, but environmentally friendly as well. This solid wooden hanging bee hotel is more durable than an orchard bee house made from paper or cardboard, and provide a sturdy outdoor beehome for your bees while they nest.
Cons
  • The bee house may not be suitable for urban or suburban environments with heavy pollution levels

Economical way to help our pollinators!

Seems well constructed and looks great. One note: unpack it outside! There's a lot of sawdust (or bamboo dust?) In the packaging.I can't wait until the bees move in!

Pros
  • Patio, Lawn & Garden
Cons
  • The bee house may be too small for some larger species of solitary bees

Colorful bee house with awesome customer service

Update- I originally left a negative review when my bee house arrived with some broken cylinders, but the seller reached out and sent another one that was completely intact and perfect. I really appreciate the awesome customer service and can't wait to try it out! I would definitely use this company again.

Pros
  • Aesthetic value
Cons
  • The bamboo tubes may be too thin or flimsy, potentially breaking or snapping over time

I'm glad and cannot wait to put it up

Five Star Rating – "I searched for bird houses and this was one of the "related" items. I'm glad and cannot wait to put it up. My granddaughter and I are making a part of the back yard into a secret garden for flora and fauna, and the bee house will be a great addition. And my granddaughter loves that it is pink!"

Pros
  • It would be nice if the back of the house had some sort of adhesive.
Cons
  • If it makes one season I’ll be pleased.

Very Sweet little Bee House!

Five Star Rating – "Nicely constructed. I hung it up immediately in a south facing tree. I hope I have some bee tenants soon”

Pros
  • We donated this to the local Nature Center and they were so pleased for the gift.
Cons
  • The bamboo tubes may be too narrow for some types of solitary bees

Cute house will look good in garden

Got this for a sister who is really into native plants, gardening, and pollinators. It’s cute and the color matches her house. Disappointed that some of the bamboo tubes came loose in transit but they were easily glued back in place.

Pros
  • Great house, the tubes are smaller than pictured.
Cons
  • Placement of the bee house may be difficult, reducing its effectiveness

Adorable addition to my vegetable garden.

I love this! I am an avid gardener and have noticed to lack of pollinating bees in recent years.I hung this in my garden and hope to see it alive with bees very soon!It looks perfect in that spot.

Pros
  • No stings; Mason bees are non-aggressive, hence safe for families
Cons
  • The bamboo tubes may not be able to accommodate larger or more diverse populations of bees
