Great speakers at a great price. I'm not sure I'd pay twice what I paid for these speakers ($300 for a pair), but I genuinely think there's no way to match the sound and value of these Monitor 70 speakers surpassing many online reviews I decided to take a chance and buy it and I can honestly say I have absolutely no regrets. Let's face it, every time you buy speakers without actually hearing them in a store, you're taking a huge leap of faith. These speakers produce a very natural and perfectly balanced sound for the price at which they compete; That said, these speakers are well above the budget of entry-level speakers. I added these monitors to a 5.1 system by replacing the front channel speakers so I can hear music in regular stereo. This is bi-amped for my Yamaha Advantage receiver. Bi-amping has really made a big difference in the sound, especially with opening up the high-frequency range. For the time being (3 years later) here is the testimonial I give you: 1) Image and Detail Reproduction: B+2) Clarity: A-3) Treble: B+/A-4) Mid: A-5 ) Sensitivity: A- 6) Construction, Fit & Finish = B. Let's be realistic. if you are looking for audiophile furniture with a glossy grand piano surface, you will pay significantly more. But I think these monitors are excellent and I am very happy with their design and quality. I find that while these monitors have a modicum of internal isolation and mounting, in 3 years I have never noticed or heard any sound resonance, distortion or vibration - which defies logic. 7) Bass: B+. I say that because I have a separate RSL subwoofer and my home theater system and the subwoofer sounds better than without it. In pure Stereo 2.0 mode, these monitors' bass is bright, clean, and tight, but without the subwoofer involved, it's a little overwhelming. The bass from these speakers lacks the solid punch you'd expect from a standalone subwoofer, especially when watching movies (hence the B rating). But when the subwoofer is used for music or home theater, these speakers reproduce the sound well. to satisfy bass. Undoubtedly there are several speakers that can produce significant low frequency effects in home theater mode, so I think they are ideally paired with a subwoofer for this situation. Overall, these speakers offer fantastic value for money. the true hi-fi stereo sound they offer. At this price point ($300 a pair) these are the best floorstanding speakers you can buy in my opinion. It's worth noting that these are truly budget speakers, with sonic performance well in excess of their price point, making them amazing value for any listener. Ever since I bought these speakers in 2017 I have been amazed by their sound and feel like you might have to pay twice or three times as much to find the best speaker set. So if you're looking for the best speakers on a budget, these are definitely worth considering. All the best!
