I am an artist and I work with mirrors. I've spent a lot of time figuring out how to sign my work in a way that doesn't detract from the image. In the end I decided that engraving my initials on the mirror would be enough. The problem was choosing the type of tool to create the engraving. This engraver seems to work. In fact, it etches more than it engraves. It's not very visible in my mirrors, but as a last resort it works. I think it works better with metal and plastic, but remember this is a battery powered tool only. I give 4 stars. It works, but it's not super impressive.
