I can only compare this to its absence because it is my first irrigation system. Of course, in this case, having an irrigator is preferable to not having one. However, it is so conveniently placed that the hand itself reaches for it. It seems to me that it would be better to place the button in this location to remove the nozzle more effectively. I immediately decided not to use the "pause" button, about which everyone complains, just in case. I only use filtered water, and I consume a lot of it—my husband and I both need a full reservoir. One is insufficient for two. I merely used a spoon and universal nozzles. The spoon is wonderful. In my perspective, a person without braces or other features does not really need the remainder of the kit's nozzles.
