Works well for watercolors if you follow this procedure.

I searched and searched for carbon paper which was graphite so I could erase most of the lines to use as a guide for watercolor drawings. It took some trial and error, but overall I'm very happy with this carbon paper. When I transfer drawings onto watercolor paper, I apply very light pressure (it gets very dark and difficult to erase with more pressure). I also use the Mono White plastic eraser to lighten the lines. I've tried many types of erasers, erasers, and erasers, but Tombow's white monoplastic eraser worked the best. I can get a very faint line on watercolor paper after this process that does not affect the finished work and is not visible through light washes. Also, that's a lot of transfer paper, and since one sheet can be used over and over again, I expect it to last me years. I have already used one sheet as the basis for several paintings and am sure it will be enough for many more.
