The first thing that struck me was the lack of the Jaguar logo on the back of this key fob, apparently due to trademark licensing laws. Figuring out how to move the electronic bits into the new housing was relatively easy, but when I tried to put it all together it didn't quite fit. I ended up using parts from the old and new keychain. I'm using the black body panels (including the one with the Jaguar logo) from the old key fob, the rubber keypad and chrome from the new one. When I put everything together, everything fitted perfectly and looks almost like new. I am happy.
