Here in hurricane country it's important to have a variety of tools on hand for emergencies due to weather and power outages. Due to an extended power outage that lasted all day during the hottest hours of the day, there was reason to use this fan at least once this summer. Luckily the power came on as soon as the ambient temperature started to cool, but this fan saved the day by keeping the air moving around our tiny house and having the convenience of circulating cooler air from an enclosed space inside the house. This fan is small enough to be powered by it. Inverters in UPS systems or power packs with only 250 W power. Unfortunately, almost all manufacturers do not provide amperage ratings for their devices - this makes it difficult to estimate watt-hour requirements; So here is the info for this fan: 110V at 0.5A - so about 55W (and possibly more since an inverter has to be used).
