We have a Thule roof box and after many years one of its arms broke. I'm glad I found these spare hands because the one arm roof box is very difficult and frustrating to use. I have to say that it was very difficult to put on. It's easy in principle, there are two ball joints that "snap" onto the balls of the roof box, but in practice it's a heck of a lot of work. One of us is fine, the other was stubborn. In the end we had to remove the roof box from the van, put it on the ground and two grown men had to manually attach the ball joint. On the other hand, I don't think it pops up accidentally.
