Bought this product to use on my direct drive lathe which only has a 1-9 speed dial. I can't be sure of the accuracy of the counter, but the reading speed seems reasonable based on my woodturning experience. I took a reading at around 60rpm and it matched my actual RPM. It took several attempts to learn how to hold the counter. What I like: 1. Turn off the "Hold" switch to take readings; 2. compactness; bright laser; a few strips of tape in case I make a mistake and need to re-tape. What I don't like (but have learned to work with): the size/shape of the laser dot on the tape. I wish it was smaller and clearer so the user doesn't have to be so close to the rotating devices.
