Review on πŸ’§ Contigo Bubble AUTOSEAL Water Bottle by Patrick Ross

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This could be the BEST water bottle and here's why.

Water is the word these days, and you may have noticed that wherever people are, so are their water bottles. Landfill should be avoided, so what's best for reuse? For many years I used bottles with straws as part of the design, but eventually I got tired of trying to get them completely clean, straws came off mid-sip etc. Then came Contigo AUTOSEAL. Ahhhhh.PROS: 1) EASY TO FILL: Unscrew the cap, the opening is wide enough to accommodate most sizes of ice cubes, and it's easy to pour water or other liquid into it. 2) EASY TO DRINK: With the cap closed, pour in the bottle, press the little button on the back and you're drinking. 3) IT DOESN'T LEAK OR DRIP: I confidently toss this in my purse knowing the lid stays tight even when flipped back. Caveat: I did this once without making sure the lid was screwed tight. The bottle is great, but it's not immune to jerks. 4) SIZE MATTER: The 24 ounce model is a good size (although for me it served as a starter drug for the 32 ounce model) and fits in most cup holders. I even put mine on the bottom shelf and it works great. 6) DURABLE: But not indestructible. I'm a clumsy guy and I've dropped mine a few times. Usually on hard tiles. Most of the time they survived without a single scratch. Once the top part was broken by the impact of a hard tile and beyond repair. Another time, part of the top of the handle broke off, which didn't affect the bottle's usability. For what I've been through, it's a wonder how well they're surviving. CONS: 1) You want to build the whole set.

Pros
  • SEAL: Spout closes automatically when button is released
Cons
  • Unsafe
