I don't want you to think that this 90mm lens is bad. The thing is, I've heard rave reviews about it on the internet. My rating is absolutely bad due to the condition and non-working nature of the item. Came very simply packed. Sony box in the box. No added security, which is odd considering there's a lot going on inside and it's just glass in a case with a few knobs, switches, etc. The first flag was when the product was opened with the sensor cover already removed. In fact, it was even close. I was looking forward to trying out my camera over the next few days. Well today was the day I put the lens on the camera and the second flag appeared. AF and MF continued to alternate between each other without turning on the switch built into the lens, or manually by activating it on my camera. I turned off my camera and made sure the lens was locked. When turning on the camera, the AF/MF was acting strange again, jumping between each other and not allowing for adjustment. The image remained blurry, as if manual focus had gotten stuck, and when I was finally able to focus on the subject, the lens kept switching between manual and auto. probably due to the retailer's poor packaging, unless they knowingly shipped the defective unit. In any case, I hope this review helps at least one of you make an informed decision about buying from a seller. Again, I don't want you to think the lens is bad. It's amazing from what I've seen, but mine left a sour taste in my mouth and I doubt I'll buy from the seller again.
