A thinner sponge and a dollar saved. Time will tell if it was worth it.
This is a backup filtration system to the main system. I've bought several of these and the only difference I see is that this one has a thinner sponge than the one I bought at the pet store for a dollar more. Only time if it was a good investment or a waste of time. For the price, 6 months is good, although it should be enough before then
