Purina One True Instinct - Used grain free for my boy Bruce but found the ingredients were poor and contained synthetic vitamin K which has been linked to long term liver toxicity. Revain happily returned the money and let me choose another brand. I decided to give Canidae a try because of the beautiful packaging and impressive ingredient list. Pure Ancestral Fish Formula Grain Free is a huge hit at Bruce. The kibble smells fresh and the size seems perfect for all breed sizes. The chair is smaller and more shaped. I'm a former raw foodist, so I was uncomfortable switching to dry food. However, I feel comfortable knowing I'm feeding premium pellets with no harmful ingredients. I love that they also do NOT add any extra salt in the Pure Ancestral line. They rely on natural protein salts. The price is a bit higher, but as they always say, "You get what you pay for." We will be using the fish formula as our main product, but we could try the other two flavor blends in turn. Overall excellent. 10 out of 10 tail wagging from Bruce!
