Perfect replacement for the cheap factory
The original bracket that came with my new (less than 1 year old) cargo trailer broke off along with the license plate when I drove down the freeway. Freeway. The original strut couldn't withstand highway (wind) speeds, and the colder November temperatures here in the Northeast caused the plastic to crack. Bottom line: trip to RMV for new license plate ($$$) and bracket. Peterson makes good quality stuff. This is a sturdy plastic mount that should last a long time.
