I ordered these bulbs thinking they would flicker but turns out it was just the company name. I was actually going to leave them as I am obsessed with Christmas lights and don't think anyone can have too many. However, I plugged it in to test the flicker feature (which didn't exist) and left it plugged in for 20 minutes. I unplugged them to put them away but they felt very hot. I know Christmas lights give off some heat, but the amount of heat made me extremely apprehensive about leaving them on for any length of time, let alone a tree. It seems to be a security issue which is why I gave it one star. But if the heating issue got resolved and you wanted to run a string of white lights, that's fine.
