My new favorite iron. I've had Rowena in the past and love her. But my last two got into the habit of licking at 6 months or less. And in less than 2 years they just don't hold the heat in the plate like they used to. I like it. Very hot on the cotton and linen settings. Although the temperature dial feels cheap to turn, I don't think I'll break it. Many temperature settings. I wish it had more vaping options. There is only off, low and high. You can add a splash if needed, but my old 6 or 7 setting irons don't have this feature. Update 12/2018: I have decided to provide an update for this iron. It has been used regularly since purchased in 2014 and is still working. Unlike my old R brand irons, it didn't give off rust colored water. It will continue to heat up and work like new. I would replace it with the same one if it breaks. Original rating: 2014 Not a single drop of water got through the sole or seeped into the clothing. Only time will tell how long this will last, but hopefully some time. I like the double pointed ends. Sometimes I miss a more traditional shape, knowing I've given up a few square inches of plates, but with dress pants and shirts, the glasses are fine. I will buy it again if I need another iron.
