I had a Samsung QE55Q77TAU of the 20th year. Very successful model, almost without minuses. I wanted a slightly larger diagonal and support for Dolby Vision. I thought about buying LG, but I've seen enough reviews that LG allegedly has no brightness, that HDR is muddy on them, and everyone enthusiastically splashes on the screen about Sony. They talk about 10 bits, about the "cognitive processor" and so on. What turned out: 10 bits in the 21st year were NOT SET on more than one Sony TV in the entire model range. Only 8. Moreover, on this model, the matrix is โโ\u200b\u200bmost bad. You can watch if your gaze is directed strictly perpendicular to the center of the screen. On the couch, you move a little to the side or lean back and the picture turns white. Plus shading in the corners. On Samsung, one diode tape from below illuminates the screen more evenly. Apparently, because of a bad matrix, they made up all these "cognitive" crutches in order to squeeze out the maximum of the IMPOSSIBLE by program methods. Therefore, if you turn off all auto-settings, nothing can be done by hand. I experimented for a week, eventually turned on the "Standard" auto-preset. With its auto-brightness and auto-dimming. Presets like "Film" or "IMax" are generally something creepy and yellow. The "Graphics" preset is described as a setting for use as a monitor, but like the Game preset, it will burn your eyes in a couple of days. Everyone says that Sony does not have PWM. At the factory settings, it IS and it's terrible. Because for smoothness there is an insertion of a black frame. That is the same flicker. Good thing you can turn it off. And then the PWM becomes noticeable only through the camera. Here yes, Samsung minus. Before Samsung, I had a Philips, bought 15 years ago. And on it the picture could be gently adjusted for yourself without automation, just like on the Samsung of the 20th year. (In the 21st, Samsungs also became terrible) In general, all high-quality TV is a thing of the past. Samsung stopped putting 10 bits in the 20th, Sony in the 21st. And both brands began to think more about what to save on, and not about quality. Apparently a couple more years and either buy a TV set for a lemon, or stare at a muddy screen. Sadness.
