Description of 📺 Sony X90J 65 Inch TV: Ultimate 4K HDR Smart Google TV with Dolby Vision & Alexa | XR65X90J- 2021 Model
- Excellent picture quality: Watch TV from 2.3 meters away, but 4K content looks amazing even from 1.3 meters away. A side effect: having quickly got used to 4K, it became not so interesting to watch Full HD. Color, brightness, contrast, naturalness - excellent. Nimble operating system and navigation. Quick detection of a 1 Tb hard drive with a lot of photos and videos (you should use the KODI program, it instantly displays the contents of the disk and, like the native player, supports Dolby Vision). Excellent black color: the moments when the screen goes completely blank in a movie / series are impressive. Not OLED, but the black color exceeded expectations. Good for a TV (! ) sound. Because of the screen size, the stereo effect is noticeable and pleasing. But, as originally planned, we will buy separate acoustics.
- Small (! ) blackouts in the corners of the screen. Only noticeable in very bright scenes (white or light gray screen). At the same time, TVs differ from instance to instance: in the store, the demo model had corners that were more susceptible to this problem. The second drawback is the small viewing angles. In our case, it is not critical, because we do not watch films, standing at an angle to the TV. To do this, there is a spacious sofa in front of the screen.
- Big. Lots of features, good quality
- Brakes intermittently, hangs. Terrible Remote
- ✅ Diagonal 65. I think if more, then 8K is needed. ✅ The fact that Sony = more or less simple setup. Although I still do not fully understand in which mode the image is better. ✅ It seems to me that Sony has the best Upscale, that is, on-air channels on 65 inches will look best on Sony. Specifically, this is better than LG, Samsung, Xiaomi, etc. ✅ Fairly fast. The new processor is really better. ✅ Voice search and control. ✅ Simple convenient installation - the legs are extremely easy to insert, you can choose the distance between them and you're done. ✅ Can be bright if you want. ❗ What is important - there is 4K, there are 2 HDMI 2.1, there is 120 Hz.
- ❌ Remote, but still 5 stars, because the remote is old, but does not affect anything. ❌ The TV is thick compared to LG and Samsung, but maybe it's better, because it's harder to damage the screen, but I'll write it down. ❌ Google TV, not Android. For me, it's not very important. ❌ Broadcast channels were not so easy to set up. It took about an hour to set up and besides, the time in the program guide parted. That is, the time on the TV shows the current time, for example, 10:00, and the program guide considers that now it is 3 hours less, that is, it shows the program at 07:00.
- 1. Very authentic image. 2. Pretty powerful and, most importantly, adequately working software and hardware stuffing, if you want to customize the picture for yourself. 3. A modern set of ports with a backlog for the future. 4. Support HDR Dolby Vision industry cinema standard for watching streaming movies from worldwide services. 5. Dolby Atmos support and good built-in speakers if you don't plan on buying a soundbar. 6. Can be used as a computer monitor without fear of burn-in like OLED.
- 1. Since this TV has one of the highest dynamic ranges in its class, its matrix does not have a layer added, for example, in the more expensive X95J, which widens viewing angles, but at the expense of a strong loss of contrast. Therefore, if you want to see a picture on the X90J in 100% quality, it is better to look almost perpendicular. But at the same time, the image will please you more than even on more expensive models. 2. A slight vignetting effect (darkening in the very corners), which becomes noticeable on a completely white screen.
- The metal feet fit securely into the case in two versions. One remote control. The remote takes control of that device. which is currently on the screen.
- Worst 8 bit matrix ever. Not 10, as the purchased bloggers describe. With no viewing angles! 50 cm left, right, up, down from the center of the screen and the picture turns white. I only remember this in LCD monitors from the early 2022s. If you don’t know what Direct Led is here, then you’ll think that there is one lamp in the center, since all 4 corners are decently darkened and you can see it all the time. It is impossible to set up "by hand" without the use of automation. The backlight shines like an infernal spotlight and you can look normally, without the risk of burning your eyes, only in a brightly lit room. In a normal environment, only auto-brightness, auto-dimming, auto-contrast will help. There are no other options. The "smoothness" of the picture out of the box comes with wild jerks. You can adjust it softly, but with a bunch of artifacts and soap along the contours of objects. It doesn't depend on the quality of the video anymore. "Local dimming" in dark scenes with bright objects creates an eerie glow. It is especially infuriating if there is an inscription on a dark background, and around it you see light large rectangles. But this is one of the crutches to somehow improve the performance of the matrix. It's even worse without him. The remote control is the most uncomfortable I have ever seen. The buttons are "liquid", small, but at the same time they have a deep stroke and, accordingly, backlash in all directions. The body plastic is the most "economy" - thin and weightless. The hyped sound is actually a complete hat. However, I didn't expect anything else. I use normal speakers. But I'm sure that this "sound" also added numbers to the price tag. Sony TVs no longer have either Miracast or Screen Mirroring. Only Air Play and the wildly stupid Wi-Fi Direct option, which turns off the Internet when it is turned on. Therefore, it is no longer possible to broadcast the screen of a Windows PC or tablet using built-in tools. (On Samsung it is possible). Apparently, for the sake of increasing profits, Sony reduce the cost of everything on what is possible, presenting it as a breakthrough technology. But the price is torn as for high-quality models of 2022 and 2022. On the right course to the complete loss of the fan base and bankruptcy! Keep it up Sony!
- 120Hz GoogleTV (the same android) with all applications. There is no need to take a Smart set-top box, everything can be installed directly into the TV set. Frameless Sound
- Probably thick for modern TVs The remote is really some kind of bottom. That's just not comfortable.
- OS Google-tv, applications work more stable and faster than on android tv. Shows amazingly. Very big and bright. There are no spots on a white background, except for dark highlights in the corners. Bluetooth remote with microphone. You can connect a bluetooth mouse.
- Dark highlights in the corners of the screen and a high price.
- Great picture. Good sound for a telly, but through an external audio system with a subwoofer is certainly better. It is very friendly with an external receiver, unlike a Chinese set-top box. The receiver itself turns on and off, the volume also receives from the telly. A big plus for me - Android, put all the applications that I need. I recommend the tinstaller program for installation, it is installed from Google Play, then you select the necessary checkboxes in it. There is voice control from the remote control.
- Google TV is not activated - an application for a smartphone that activates it is not available in 2022. But the application can be downloaded through alternative "markets", for example, from the application that was recommended above. When activated, it says that the 2022 language is not available for management, I chose English. But it is controlled by voice in 2022 calmly. In general, not even a drawback, but a nuance that one day you decide and forget about it. I hope forever))
