Last weekend I used the 20 watt product for the first time to make announcements at a family camp where attendees spread out were a large field, more than half the size of a soccer field. There was little background noise. When I spoke out loud, the audio sounded good with no distortion to announce action (it was better than another less powerful product - admittedly by half Price.- which we have bought for small groups within 40-50 feet on instructional hikes my organization runs.) I can't comment on how well it holds its charge. Definitely meets our needs.
