Works pretty well, does exactly what you think it does.
It's pretty reliable. I'm not sure I would trust it if it was taped to my car and rode along without an anchor, but I think sticking it to just about anywhere else would work pretty well. Car, you should stick tape on the bottom, otherwise it will probably scratch your trim.
