I bought this to get off the ground. I have 3 awesome hellhounds who love to chew on my heels and sneakers (but not my boots lol) just laying on the floor in the middle of the night. Little did I know the slits were already so tight and my heels (size 9 stilettos) barely fit. I thought it would be wider to fit both shoes in the slot but it's not. My ankle boots, low heels and wedges fit perfectly, one boot per slot. Slippers or ballerinas fit into a slot. The pockets are deep which I love. My husband wears a size 18 sneakers and they fit! with a bit of a hang lol seems solid but I just installed it so not sure how well it will hold up to wear and tear. So far I am very happy with the purchase.
