Bought these gloves for a trip to the Arctic Circle in Norway. Since my time outside was limited, I needed minimal protection from the cold. These gloves fit great, well made and good quality. The elastic bands around the cuffs and wrist straps are great. I believe a great deal of engineering and thought went into the gloves. That's why they're five-star gloves. As for the warmth of these gloves, I would say they are moderate or close to zero. However, when it dropped to 10 degrees Fahrenheit, my hands started to feel a cold stinging after 10 minutes outdoors. It should be noted that my activity consisted of walking only, so an increase in physical activity might have warmed her up. For a day of skiing or snowboarding or winter activities in the cold (but not arctic conditions) these gloves are a great item.
