Sometimes you just need to know how big an object is. As an enthusiastic craftsman, I take a lot of measurements. I've used standard/measuring tapes for years, but they're bulky when you need to be portable. I have a compact knit bag that I take with me on trips that fits in my carry-on. This tape measure is perfect and it's great to have 8 of them. I've put one in every workshop in the house, in my suitcase, in my car, and given one to a fellow crafter for her projects. They work beautifully and I haven't had any quality issues.
