This is a great addition that helped give our pup (6 months) some freedom and freedom. Our pup is a big mini Schnoodle. Weighs about 16 pounds, actively strong but not "crazy". When I first bought this device, my husband was skeptical. I then set it up in the hallway on a tiled floor, adjusted the sides of the paddock to my liking and secured it with a sturdy chair or wall. I set out a small cage, water/food bowls and toys and our pup was ready in a few hours when we weren't home. I could take her into the kitchen, but I noticed the corners of the cabinets with chew marks, and I didn't want her breaking furniture or cabinets or ripping out power cords while we were gone. So this practice pen was great. It can also be folded up perfectly for on the go and replaces the picnic table in our CRV when travelling. Then I install the handle in minutes wherever we go. 30 inches tall may seem big. but not knowing the puppy's jumping ability was normal. We just teach her to sit when we get her and then ask her to stand up and pick her up. For people with back problems or those who find it difficult to bend down, you can safely unhook the connector panels like a door and pick up your pet. You can't live without them!
