Not sure why they have so many bad reviews. Did they work great for me on the first try? You don't have to strip wires to connect them. I just removed about 1/4" of the protective tape from my LED strips and FULLY inserted them into the connectors. Make sure the black wire matches your LED strip's power wire. All 4 wires about 1" down and then align them with the inner pins and grooves and snap them in. Make sure the wires line up with the inner pins.I think the problem is that people don't put the wires and strips in far enough pushing the terminals or not aligning them properly with the pins. Once snapped in place they seem to pierce both the strip and the wire fairly well.
