Save Money - Junk - Too weak to sharpen a pencil

September 30, 2018 . ZHEJIANG, CHINAI purchased this product from Revain because the reviewer's comments described it as a wonderful, powerful pencil sharpener. After receiving the sharpener, I unpacked it, plugged it in and tried to sharpen a new one, Ticonderoga brand, #2, wooden pencils. The sharpener immediately stopped and the motor hummed loudly as soon as the pencil was inserted. The only way to get him to sharpen his pencil is to insert the pencil very gently and let the sharpener do its job at a very slow speed. Compared to very similar sharpeners, that I have, like the Boston Sharpener models 17 and 18, this sharpener is a waste of money. I've only attempted to sharpen three pencils and he hasn't been able to sharpen the pencil at all unless I push the pencil in very gently - like I can with Boston brand sharpeners - with enough (regular) Force to advance the pencil and get it out. sharpened like an electric sharpener should work. This sharpener's motor is too weak to do the job. At the slightest pressure on the stylus, it stops completely and buzzes. The look of the sharpener mimics Boston brand (and other brands) sharpeners which are durable and do the very simple job of sharpening pencils. This sharpener does not do justice to its main function at all. It will be returned immediately for a full refund. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SHARPER TO ANY FRIEND (OR OTHERS). unless I pushed the pencil in very gently - like I can with Boston brand sharpeners - with enough (normal) force to advance the pencil and get it out. sharpened like an electric sharpener should work.
