Yes, the tabs come off.
It would be better if the product came with all the tabs up and then you hold them down for the desired time you want the device to deliver. They are really easy to take out and impossible to put back in. The device seems to work, but I'm not sure if it turns back on early in the morning when the tabs pop out. I won't buy any other.
