Review on Sena Motorcycle Bluetooth Headset Communication System: Enhancing Rider Connectivity and Safety by Robert Cooper

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Be careful what you will use it for! Read before you buy!

So why my average rating? Sound quality is okay, but you never get much base out of them because the speakers are thin and don't come in any sort of enclosure to isolate the front of the speaker from the back. The midrange is good and quite loud. However, I had to turn off the noise cancellation in the app. Wind noise silenced the speakers because the mic thought I was speaking. For 56 miles! I have 2 headsets that I use communicators on, HJC i90 and SHOEI Neotec 2. This communicator does NOT work with SHOEI. see photos. I use a sticker instead of a wedge screw along with a clamp. Anyway, the bottom part of the communicator is still hanging under the rim of the helmet. This REALLY limits how far you can mount it due to the design of the helmet. As a result, the communicator button and dial are almost on the back of my helmet and REALLY hard to manipulate. Because the communicator is so far back, it hangs on my riding jacket all the time. My other communicator is Cardo Packtalk Bold. This works great on SHOEI as this communicator doesn't have that hanging on base. So I can mount it much further forward on the helmet. This communicator works great on my HJC i90 without hesitation. Again, it's all about the design and contours of the helmet. However, the Bluetooth functionality is breaking the doors of my Cardo Packtalk Bold. This really sucks, I wear SHOEI a lot more than HJC and I wish the Sena would work on my helmet.
