If you hook this up to a Fluval Sea Evo 13.5 it will cool the water 2 degrees in 25 minutes which is reasonable. The ambient temperature is 89 during the day. The set value is 78. Everything works as expected, only. My biggest concern is this cooler because it's so damn quiet you can't tell if the compressor is on or off. You really have to touch it to see if there is any vibration. Gone are the good old days when the lights dimmed when the compressor kicked in and you could hear it half a mile away. What has become of the world? ;-) Toodles! UPDATE - Fluval dumped in November 2020 and replaced with Aqueon 29 gal. It took 57 minutes to lower the temperature by 2 degrees. The set value is now 79, so it is enabled at 80 and disabled at 78.
