Review on 🏠 Enhance Your Home Network with AZORES AX1500 Smart WiFi 6 Router: Dual Band AX, Gigabit LAN Ports, Beamforming, OFDMA, MU-MIMO, Parental Controls by Jeff Bruno

Reliable WiFi, Terrible Security

I bought 4 of these devices hoping to create an inexpensive WiFi 6 mesh network, security, at least for me. When you first set up your router, it sets a WiFi password and an admin password by default. This is bad and you shouldn't do it. I adjusted them differently and thought that was it. The web interface is not bad, it is fast and responsive. But when I launch the iOS admin app, it asks for the 5GHz WiFi password to allow admin access. Thinking it was a small UI issue, I tried entering my admin password but it didn't work. Tried three times! I ended up entering the WiFi password and he let me in right away. Eh This is bad and there is no excuse for that. Anyone with WiFi access could administrate the router and that is 100% unacceptable. Incidentally, the web interface uses a separate, more secure administrator password. Aside from the security issue, the router isn't bad. The size is small and doesn't look bad. The plastic is a bit light but to be expected at this price point. I love the 4 ethernet ports on the back and really wanted to love this device but the security issue scares me. This is a return.
