For the money this setup is suitable for a simple direct TV installation or at a very slight angle but. I installed a Samsung 40" flat panel with it. Make sure the bracket is perfectly vertical and the TV mounting bracket is level. I then attached the bracket to the TV and hung it on the wall pedestal as directed. My TV didn't even need to 4 lengthened brackets as the TV mounting plate fitted perfectly into the holes on my TV so there was no bias **The pivoting support rods are not rigid enough** so when I moved the TV to different positions the TV became uneven and looked like the bracket wasn't installed properly. When moving the TV to the left, the left corner of the TV was at least 1" lower than the right. When moving the right, the right corner of the TV was at least 2.5". cm lower than the one on the left. The only position in which the TV hangs exactly in the middle is pressed against the wall. See photo (right-middle-l inks). TV up to the ceiling line in the photo.
