I think they do a great job for the price.

I have a Yamaha RX-A740 AV/Receiver and Energy Take 5 5.1 surround speakers. I bought Yamaha NS-F210BL speakers to use as front presence speakers. With a subwoofer, they don't have to carry a lot of bass. They definitely contribute to the sound field. They make the dialogue clearer. Great sounding DVDs like Master and Commander are sure to come to life with this type of customization, as will the music.
