DSLR lens failure rate

I bought this lens twice, neither of these here and maybe I should have bought it. If you can't find a really good deal on something at Adorama, don't buy from them, but if you do, make sure you buy your own extended warranty and don't make them up. However, once the lens was in use I got exceptional images, very sharp and clear and although I never looked into the pixels I didn't find any softness in the corners. Although in all of these cases I could be in a winning position for the lens. I found the focusing quick and accurate considering the E-M1's metering point can be shaky at times, and the touch focus has never let me down. This is another story from another day. As I said, I found a Sharp lens and used macro photography with pleasure. I'll browse my pics, come back and post a few. The sad thing is that both the new one and the new used one I bought as a spare both died after 1 year. I'm tempted to buy a 40-150 Macro II next time it's on sale or if I can find a used one.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Slightly torn
