It had a very strong chemical odor straight out of the box. It was terrible. The only way to get rid of it is to wash it. I didn't get a chance to wash it, so I tried wiping it off with a wet lint. Did not help. The next day I quickly tested it and it worked. Pros: Lightweight and the rope looks strong enough for now. I didn't measure but hopefully it's exactly what I ordered, the way it should be. Cons: Chemical smell. The clamp doesn't look as strong as I expected. I can either replace it or reinforce it with another clamp if I want. I'm sure it will wear out and fall apart after repeated use, but that usually happens with all lines and ropes. Bought when the price was reduced so that's a plus.
