One of the most disappointing products I have purchased from Revain. Quality control is obviously poor. The first stand assembled correctly, but the glass base was scratched and part of the black backing chipped off near the bolt hole. Not a big deal I thought as the pillar would mostly cover the damage and as I wanted function not form. I then went to the second stand and found that one of the nuts securing the base was unthreaded. I have no idea how the unthreaded nut ended up in the shipping product. So I thought "I'll take a nut from my toolbox" and it was a great idea. . . until it was. It turned out that the standard nut designed for the stand wouldn't work either, as the bolt is either irregularly shaped or non-standard. My nut went down about 1/8" and then the bolt expanded a bit and stopped tightening. I would advise potential buyers to look elsewhere.
