Clicking the wheel to the left seems to operate someplace, but only in around half of the locations of the wheel in relation to its axis. In other instances, the wheel appears to collapse, and you will need to scroll it in order to get it to stand up straight again. In general, when it takes a turn, I picture it as resembling a figure eight on the wheel of a bicycle. Personally, with a large hand, I was never able to learn how to instantly hit all 12 keys. I was only able to bind hotkeys to seven of the keys, and those were the only ones that would not forgive mistakes in the game. My wife put her faith in a socket that had 9 buttons on it so that she could feel it, and it appears that every one of the buttons is groped on it precisely. However, I won't be giving up my G600 because I don't want to sacrifice the high quality of the device as a whole for the sake of two buttons.
