I first attached this thing to the back of my laptop's display, but this led to some really annoying issues. The hinge is weak and poorly constructed, so the display always sags instead of staying flush with my main laptop's screen. But the real problems started when my computer just wouldn't boot. I tried turning off the screen but nothing helped. The only thing that helped was when I physically removed the screen from the back of my main display on the laptop, after that everything worked again. Very strange. I now use the display in portrait mode with its own base/stand. I would recommend this otherwise don't waste your money on this product.
