Review on πŸ’ͺ Efficient Grinding Power: Unleash the Makita GA7021 7 Inch Angle Grinder! by Hector Smith

Revainrating 5 out of 5

and it chews through steel like some 7 inch truck grinders at work

From first impressions this grinder exceeded my expectations. I got a Makita 4 1/2" 10 amp angle grinder (fantastic machine) for Christmas and have been using it for 5 months now and it chews through steel like some 7" port freight grinders at work but it seems easier. This grinder has set the bar pretty damn high. So naturally I went for another high-performance Makita when I wanted a 7" and I got this one. (With money from prom gifts, are you feeling the trend?) Oh my god I'm so glad I did "Bought this thing. This thing is a bloody beast. However, I'm a small guy (140lbs) and I just can't grind something effectively for a long time unless it's flat, I just can't handle it comfortably. But I have for that my 4 1/2" grinder. But when I have to do A LOT of surface grinding, there is no single tool that can beat this behemoth. The only thing that can stop this grinder is... well, nothing. If you press the safety switch (before the trigger) and pull the trigger to fire it, then release the trigger but hold the switch down, it will lock out so you don't have to hold the trigger hook, and to release just pull again the deduction. like a rabbit with a broken leg. And it will scare your boss to death. Ask me how I know. In summary, this is a tool animal and the weight is a reminder of that. That's the case with flat grinding, in the horizontal position it does a very quick job of removing material, but its weight rules out any other position and it's definitely a minus better, especially if you're not a 250-pound barbarian. But I will say that it goes well with a 10 amp 4 1/2" Makita. In the end, it's worth the money.
