If you don't own one of these, buy it now! I started scraping my tongue a couple of years ago with a plastic scraper because the metal ones made me nervous. Now that I've graduated to the stainless steel scraper there is no going back. It is both amazing and disgusting how much gunk gets stuck on the tongue even after a thorough brushing, floss and rinse. This should be a step that's added to every dental routine. All of that stuff on the tongue causes bad breath and can contribute to poor oral health which can lead to more serious health conditions.I have my teeth cleaned every six months, brush and floss twice daily and I have nastiness to scrape off of my tongue left over. It is 100% worth the investment in time and money for better oral health!
