The cameras did not come out yesterday, so there are already a lot of reviews and reviews. Explanatory and not very. So I want to pay attention only to a few nuances. 1. Ears built into the body for attachment. They write a lot about the fact that "here they made the ears, but they did them badly, the camera dangles" Yes, the camera dangles a little on them, but does it not dangle on cameras of previous generations? Yeah, it doesn’t hang out, simply because they are not there! No one took away from you the opportunity to fix the camera with a frame or box as before, you just added one more opportunity. 2. Non-replaceable front lens glass. "A controversial decision, but what if it breaks, but earlier it could have been replaced" Doesn't the possibility of breaking the screen scare anyone? The conclusion from the first two points is very simple. If you are shooting some kind of real action, then use a protective box. Then your ears will not hang out and the glass will not break. And if you decide to just ride a bike around the park, then everything will be fine with you. 3. Small battery. Yes, of course it is small, but the specifics of the device impose restrictions. My camera lives on one battery for an hour, this is an hour of continuous shooting. Then 90% is thrown out of this hour and during this hour it is definitely possible to replace the battery. If there is someone here who can shoot hour-long videos in one shot, without editing, takes and script, then you are definitely in Hollywood, collecting Oscars for camera work. But something tells me that those who do not know how to shoot complain about a small autonomy in the first place. Everyone who complains about a bad matrix, lack of HDMI, short battery life and much more, does not understand that this is not just a small camera that is always with you. It's small enough to fit comfortably in your pocket. Try to mount a full-frame DSLR on a BMX fork and shoot at least something. GoPro is exactly the kind to be inside what is happening. And the eighth generation does its job better than its predecessors. Yes, this is not a revolution compared to the seventh, but certainly not a step back.
