Can't complain, I knew I looked cheap so I could get more volume. I really had high hopes. I had it set to only record when someone is speaking. 3 out of 4 worked great. One of them wouldn't record after the first use and I didn't have time to work with it to see if it could be fixed. However, most of the time they were less than 5 feet from interlocutors. Quite often less than 3 feet and the quality of the recording was just terrible. I could barely understand most conversations unless people were talking excitedly and loudly. If they were having a normal conversation, he wouldn't pick up, or I wouldn't understand. I used audio enhancement software to remove background noise that might be obscuring the conversation or making the vocals stand out more. It's just an extra investment of time and effort that makes this product essentially useless to me. I can say that the instructions were easy to follow and setting up the device really wasn't as difficult as many people think.
