They've been great for a number of projects aside from holding my phone. I use a phone case and Qi wireless charging. I've used a Qi plate and while I can get my phone to stay on it I wouldn't say it will stay on the road. If you use a suitcase and Qi like I do, you probably won't want to use it in your car. It works great when not moving. The excellent 3M adhesive on the back of the magnets is much appreciated as the cheap adhesive renders these things useless. The sticky metal plates are good enough to hold a 7-inch Raspberry Pi touchscreen. I will buy more of these to have more fun.
