Review on High Performance K&N Motorcycle Oil Filter KN-153 for Synthetic or Conventional Oils - Designed for Ducati Motorcycles (Black) by Pius Aponte

This filter was advertised on the K&N website as a replacement part for the BMW K1600GTL, however the nut on the end of the filter interferes with the shifter preventing the shifter from moving. Because the switch must be removed to install the filter, this design flaw only became apparent after the filter was installed. I ended up cutting off the nut with a hacksaw. Apparently this is common knowledge, but unfortunately I didn't think to check the forums before buying. I have asked K&N to stop advertising this part until they fix the design flaw. They keep showing it as a spare part.
