It works for hours but I'm pretty sure the "oil control" aspect is that it's just clogging your pores. I've had a breakout or two while using this although I normally have clear skin so this is definitely a product. Try to stay in the T-zone and you'll be fine. It's good if you're going on a date and you don't want your face to reflect the sun and blind it on a hot sunny day.
