Review on Litewood Shredding Cockatoos Cockatiel Accessories by Doug Knight

I received this item yesterday along with some other new toys for my Conure. Last night I cleaned his trunk and put this toy in the cage. This afternoon I heard him making a lot of noise and went to check. He was attached to this toy and clapped his hands like crazy. At first I thought he was going to play, but then I quickly realized he was being choked! I had to take it and the toy out of the cage to try and untangle it. He was clearly in pain and every time I tried to get rid of him he would fall and bite. I had to endure all the bites because I didn't want him to die. In the end I was only able to free him with scissors. It's very difficult to do it safely when the bird breaks free, flaps its wings, and lunges desperately. Although he seems to be fine now. Needless to say, the toy went straight into the trash. Lesson learned. I will never buy anything like this again.
