I've had this product for about 5 months now, and its starting to tear in several areas. I purchased this product because I thought it would like my 30lb Basenji mix for a year or longer, but it has not lived up the the task. I will say this dog toy has last longer than most stuffed animals, but I am disappointed that one of the legs is now ripped open, and there are holes in other areas. Not sure if I will purchase another since they are kind of expensive toys.

Absent from the amazon listing is a warning that I found on the VIP (manufacturer) site after my dog managed to pull stuffing out of one of the feet within 30 minutes of getting the toy. The warning says that this is an interactive toy, and not a chew toy.I previously had a scorpion tuffy toy and it lasted her a while, so I figured this would be better, with less legs and edges for her to chew on. The scorpion was better, probably because there was no stuffing in most of the legs.

THIS IS FOR A VERY BIG DOG! My Pointer has a hard time holding him, he has to grab his beak, and its impossible for him to squeak. This would be a great toy for a XL Dog! SUPER DURABLE! SUPER CUTE!

I bought this for my GSD and unfortunately, he chewed through it pretty quickly. I would say within a day or two. I wish it would have been stronger. When it arrived, there was also some sticky substance on it and when I emailed them about it, they sent a brand new one to me and I have it within two days with no hassle. It is a good product overall but would not recommend for bigger dogs.

This product looked durable but my 6 month old German shepherd ripped its beak off overnight. I might have to see if maybe there is a tuffy level 9 or 10 that might last longer than a couple of hours.

This toy is perfect for our labrador retriever. I was getting tired of having to pick up pieces of stuffing all over the floor from other toys she had. She would destroy them in less than 10 minutes and then my roomba would get stuck with the stuffing on the wheels.These toys have been the perfect solution. They last! unbreakable for a lab. so most likely unbreakable for most breeds!From now on I'm only buying these kinds of toys!

This is an awesome bird. He never poops in his cage and he barley eats his food! He’s quiet and nice! 10/10 would buy again!

Took our dog a solid year to finally break through. She is a 45 lb mixed terrier and is very aggressive with her toys. Highly recommend.

Get this toy! I've had other tuffy toys such as splock the alien that are dead in minutes. This toy however lasted for almost half a year. It it also easy to play tug of war with!

Solid dog toy, I bet it will last a lifetime for most dogs, however my girlfriends little corgi chew threw this (as well as every other plush toy ever made). Still, she enjoyed it for the week or so that it existed.

So far my two golden retrievers have been unable to destroy or bite holes in it. Very tuff toy that they enjoy playing with.

This brand is the best for my dog with anxiety. It stands up to his nervous chewing very well! The toucan was a little larger than we expected, but that doesn't stop the dog from carrying it around the house.

This is certainly a "tuff" toy. I have 2 pits (though only one will even play with this toy). This toy is so strong, it's too strong (hence 4 and not 5 stars). Yes, I realize that strength is why I bought this toy, and yes I hate to spend money just to have something destroyed within minutes. It lasted longer than most toys but our 1 year old Basenji still got it open within an hour or so and chewed it down to half size in a week. These things have SO MUCH STUFFING. He did have a great time getting it out. Because it was more long fibers I was able to stuff it back in a few times.

Tuffy toys are built for strong chewers and they will last much longer than conventional stuffed toys. I bought the Toucan for our puppy and he really enjoyed playing with it. There are a lot of seams and narrow spots on this particular Tuffy though and that would be its undoing eventually. Our puppy worked through one of the leg seams with his sharp puppy teeth and the de-stuffing commenced. You can see why these toys are more expensive than conventional stuffed toys when you see just how much

My dogs favorite toy, had to buy a second one for the fact that they played with it every second of the day and night. A 80 pound lab and a 160 pound Dane brought the stuff out of it but they outside is still good. They love it so will your dogs.

I have a 7 month old golden retriever and she tore this open within 30 minutes of getting it! Definitely not a tough toy, could have spent less at the pet store on another toy and had it last a little longer.

9 mos old Border Collie puppy played with a couple of times with me. The threads came undone on front foot.Not good.Octopus has been great.Had for a while and looks the same as when we got it.Definitely not worth the money. $1.00 per minute of play time.

I love these toys and so do my pups. I have a Border Collie/Corgi Mix who makes a tiny hole and pulls out every bit of stuffing, and I have a Pit Bull Mix who can destroy just about anything. Both dogs destroy these toys anywhere from 15-30 minutes depending on the size. This toy was in the 15 minute range which is why I'm only giving it 4 stars. I will say that both dogs still play with the pieces of this toy weeks after all the stuffing is gone. I probably won't be buying the Toucan again…
